Plant Operator Hire
Excavator, Dozer, Grader and Haul Truck Operators for Civil Works and Mine Sites
Operators for Your Machines
Wolfpack Hire supplies experienced plant operators to run your gear, whether that's one excavator on a subdivision, a crew preparing foundations and pads for a solar or wind farm, or a full dig and haul roster on a mine. We don't rent out equipment. We provide the people who drive it. Send us the machine list, sizes, location and your start date, and you'll get operators with real seat time on that plant. We check their tickets and references first, then handle their wages, super and timesheets for the whole booking.

What Our Operators Get Done
Put one of our operators in the seat for work like this:
Bulk earthworks, cut and fill to design levels
Trenching for pipes, cables and drainage
Loading and hauling ore, waste and overburden
Building and grading haul roads and pads
Clearing, stockpiling and rehab work
Foundation prep for solar, wind and hydro projects
Pad work for civil, industrial and commercial builds
Competency Proven Before Day One
Most earthmoving machines don't need a High Risk Work Licence, so the site has to be satisfied each operator is competent. We do that groundwork before anyone turns up:
Tickets or statements of attainment for each machine, plus their hours
References from supervisors who've watched them operate
Medicals, D&A tests and inductions set to your site's rules

Plant Operator Hire Questions
Do you supply the machine as well as the operator?
No, just the operator. You run your own plant or gear you've hired without a driver, often called dry hire, for as long as the job needs them.
Do plant operators need a licence?
Not for most earthmoving plant. Excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, rollers and skid steers are operated on proof of competency instead, usually a statement of attainment in the relevant RII unit and your site's verification of competency (VOC). Forklifts need an LF licence, and if a load has to be slung, we can add a licensed dogman.
How is a plant operator charged?
One hourly rate per operator, agreed before they start. It covers the operator's pay at the award or EA rate for your job, with super, payroll tax, LSL and insurance costs and our margin added. Night shift, remote rosters and bigger machines usually lift the rate.
Can you crew a full mining fleet roster?
Yes. We fill day and night shifts across dig, haul and ancillary fleets on FIFO or DIDO swings, and line up spare operators to cover leave and R&R. Your site runs its own VOCs and inductions, and we have each operator ready for them.
How soon can an operator start?
We return every enquiry within 3 hours, 7 days a week. Ticketed civil operators can often be on site within a few days, while mine site roles take longer because of medicals, inductions and site competency checks.
Where do you supply plant operators?
Across WA, Queensland, NSW, Victoria, the NT and Tasmania. Our operators work on subdivisions, road and rail jobs, quarries, remote mines and renewable energy builds, from solar farm pads to wind turbine and hydro foundations.
