Regional WA Labour Hire

Fly-In and Drive-In Crews for the Pilbara, Goldfields and Beyond

Iron ore pits out of Newman, gold mills near Kalgoorlie, a port shutdown in Geraldton or a battery build at Collie: send us the site and the swing, and we'll line up qualified people ready to fly or drive in.

Remote Work Needs Different Planning

Regional clients bring us in for mining & resources sites, construction & civil projects, warehousing & logistics and manufacturing work, as well as port shutdowns, energy projects and plant maintenance well beyond the metro area.

A regional placement involves more than a name and a start date. Flights or the drive in, camp rooms, site medicals and inductions all have to line up before the first shift. Your site books the travel and rooms, and we handle the checks and make sure every worker knows when and where to report.

Our regional work spans Karratha, Port Hedland, Newman, Tom Price and Onslow in the north, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Leonora, Laverton and Esperance in the east, Geraldton and the Mid West, Bunbury, Collie and the South West, and Broome and Kununurra in the Kimberley.

Working the Pilbara and Goldfields

These two regions account for most of WA's mining work, and both run on long rosters, remote camps and tight safety rules.

Short term cover keeps a crew whole when someone goes on leave or a shutdown runs long. Project teams can stay until the job is handed over or stay on for the operational stage of the site.

Your quote spells out the hourly rate before anyone starts, so the invoice matches what you signed off.

Pilbara Labour Hire

Iron ore mines around Newman, Tom Price and Paraburdoo, the rail lines to the coast, and the export terminals at Port Hedland and Dampier, where Pilbara Ports moved a record 804 million tonnes in 2025-26.

Gas processing near Karratha and Onslow, and a urea plant under construction north of Karratha that's due to start production in 2027, add steady demand for trades and operators.

Cyclone season runs from November to April, so we plan crew changes and standby with the weather in mind.

Goldfields-Esperance Labour Hire

Gold drives the region, from the open pits and underground mines around Kalgoorlie-Boulder out to Leonora, Laverton and Norseman.

Several nickel operations have been in care and maintenance since 2024, and those sites still need small maintenance teams while they wait on a restart.

We also cover Esperance, where port and grain handling work peaks around harvest. For permanent Goldfields roles, from mill operators to mine supervisors, our recruiters run the search start to finish.

Labour Hire Geraldton, Bunbury and the Kimberley

In the Mid West and Murchison we supply gold mines around Mount Magnet and Meekatharra, the port of Geraldton, and the rare earths refinery being built at Eneabba, which is due to be commissioned in 2027.

Further south, Bunbury's port, the region's alumina refineries and lithium plants, gold mining at Boddington, and the Collie energy transition, where big batteries are taking over from coal-fired power, keep tradespeople, riggers, dogmen and crane operators busy. In the far north, we cover Broome and Kununurra.

Why Regional Operators Call Wolfpack Hire

Every WA search is run from our Wangara head office, and your relationship manager stays the same whether you need one fitter in Geraldton or a shutdown crew in the Pilbara.

There's no labour hire licence scheme in WA. We hold licences in two other states, LHL-08494-T0K1G (Qld) and VICLHL10377 (Vic), and both can be checked on the public registers.

Every Worker Knows the Plan

We pass each worker's details to your travel team, then confirm the travel day, pick-up and start time with every person so nobody misses the bus.

Regional WA FAQs

Do you supply FIFO workers for regional WA?

Yes. We place people on FIFO swings out of Perth and on DIDO rosters from centres such as Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and Bunbury, matched to the roster your site runs.

Who arranges flights and accommodation?

Your site or its travel team books those. We supply the details they need for each worker, then check that every person knows their flight times, where to be picked up and when their first shift starts.

Can you cover a shutdown at short notice?

Often, yes. Tell us the scope, trades and dates, and we'll confirm how many people we can mobilise and when. We work 7 days a week, which helps when a shutdown date moves.

What checks do regional workers go through?

Work rights, references, trade qualifications and HRW tickets, plus the pre-employment medical and D&A test your site asks for. Site inductions are booked before the first swing.

Which regions of WA do you cover?

The Kimberley, the Pilbara, the Gascoyne, the Mid West, Goldfields-Esperance, the Wheatbelt, the South West and the Great Southern. For Perth and Peel, see our Western Australia page.

Can a regional worker become permanent?

Yes. Temp to perm: 'try before you buy' - trial a worker on your site, and if they suit, make the person permanent.

Crewing a Regional Site?

Tell us the region, the roles and the roster, and a relationship manager will phone you inside 3 hours, any day of the week.
