Riggers, Dogmen, Scaffolders & Crane Operators

Licensed Lifting and Access Crews for Builds, Shutdowns and Mine Sites

Licensed Hands for Every Lift

Heavy lifts and tall scaffolds only run smoothly when the right licences are on site. Wolfpack Hire supplies crane operators, riggers, dogmen and scaffolders to builders, shutdown contractors, mines and industrial plants. Tell us what's being lifted or erected, the crane you're using, the licence classes required and the start date. We confirm each worker's High Risk Work Licence covers the job, then send people who've done that type of lift or scaffolding before.

Lifting and Access Roles We Supply

Our lifting and access bookings cover these groups:

Rigging and Dogging

  • Dogmen (DG) to sling loads and direct lifts

  • Basic riggers (RB) for steel and precast

  • Intermediate riggers (RI) for cranes and tilt panels

Work Our Lifting Crews Handle

Our crews are booked for jobs such as:

Crane lifts for steel, precast and plant items

Scaffold erection and strip-outs for shutdowns

Equipment change-outs during planned outages

Tilt-panel and structural steel erection

Unloading and placing heavy deliveries

Licences Checked Before They Start

Most roles here require a High Risk Work (HRW) licence in the correct class. Scaffolding work needs one wherever a person or object could fall more than 4 metres. Before anyone reaches your gate, we:

Sight each licence and confirm the classes suit your lift or scaffold

Check White Cards, medicals and tickets like heights and confined space

Confirm experience on your crane type or scaffold system

Rigging, Crane and Scaffolding Questions

Do I need a licensed dogman for every crane lift?

Not every lift, but usually. Dogging means slinging a load or directing the crane operator when the load is out of their view. Whoever does either needs a DG licence, or a rigging licence, because every rigging class includes dogging.

Which rigging class do I need?

It depends on the work. RB covers structural steel, precast, hoists and safety nets. RI adds cranes, conveyors, tilt slabs and demolition. RA adds gin poles, cableways, guyed structures and hung scaffolds. Tell us about the lift and we'll match the class.

When does a scaffold need a licensed scaffolder?

Whenever a person or object could fall more than 4 metres from it. SB covers modular systems, SI adds tube and coupler and cantilevered scaffolds, and SA covers hung and suspended scaffolds.

Do you supply cranes?

No, only the operators. If you own a crane or have hired one without a driver, we'll supply a licensed operator for its class, from C2 for slewing cranes up to 20 tonnes through to C0 for cranes over 100 tonnes.

How are riggers and scaffolders charged?

Each worker has one hourly rate, approved by you before they start. That rate pays their wage at the award or agreement level that applies, our margin, and the employer costs we cover such as super, payroll tax, LSL and insurance. Higher licence classes and shutdown rosters usually cost more.

Can you put together a full lift crew?

Yes. We can supply the crane operator, dogman and riggers as one crew, add scaffolders and an EWP operator for access, and rebook the same people for your next shutdown when they're free. Crews travel anywhere in WA, Victoria, the NT, NSW, Queensland and Tasmania.

Can I book a rigger for a single lift?

Single-shift jobs aren't something we take on. Lifting crews come to you for short term cover lasting several days or weeks, for a whole shutdown, or for the life of your project.

Need Riggers, Dogmen, Crane Operators or Scaffolders?

Send through the lift or scaffold job, the licence classes, how many people and your start date.
