Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can you supply workers?
For most labourer and trades assistant roles, we can usually have people on site within a couple of days. Tell us your start date and we’ll confirm availability on the first call.
How much does construction labour hire cost?
Rates depend on the role, tickets, award, shift and how long you need people for. We’ll give you clear pricing upfront, so you know exactly what you’re paying before anyone starts.
Is labour hire worth it compared with hiring directly?
For most projects, yes. You get workers when you need them without the hassle of recruiting, payroll, admin, and you can scale your crew up or down as the job changes. If someone’s a great fit, you can take them on permanently.
Do labour hire companies need a licence in WA?
Not currently. Western Australia doesn’t have a labour hire licensing scheme, although general workplace and employment laws still apply. Queensland does have one, so if your project is in QLD, check your provider is licensed there – ours is LHL-08494-T0K1G.
Who is responsible for safety on site?
Safety is shared. We screen, ticket and safety-induct our workers, set PPE and fatigue standards. You provide the site-specific induction and day-to-day supervision, and we stay in touch with you and our workers throughout the placement.
Can we keep a worker permanently?
Yes. Labour hire is a good way to use our ‘try before you buy’ option. Talk to your relationship manager about making a worker permanent; the terms are set out in your agreement.
